3 Simple (Yet Highly Effective)Ways to Reclaim Your Personal Energy

personal energy

Let’s talk about personal energy.

Not the woo woo, spiritual, unseen type of energy (though I’m happy to discuss that another time).

No no — what I’m talking about right now is your own physical energy. Your vigor. Your vitality. Your overall sense of feeling refreshed and recharged.

For many, that energy is quite dismal.

And for many others, not even there at all.

So let me ask you…

Do you wake up in the morning feeling clear and capable?

Or do you wake up in the morning feeling lousy and lethargic?

If you’re leaning towards the latter, I want to help.

See, I used to wake up in the morning and not really wake up until hours later. I’d feel groggy and gross. Limp and lazy. Tired and too foggy to ever tackle my day with meaning and conviction.

But with a few simple tweaks, I started turning that around.

I’d like to share a few of those tweaks with you now:

  1. Aim for 7–8 hours of sleep. If you want to wake up at 5 am, go to bed at 9 pm or 10 pm. Any later and your energy will suffer.
  2. Drinks lots of water. Fill up a gallon jug every day and drink it. You’ll pee a lot. You’ll find it difficult at first. But over time, it’ll get easier. And you’ll have more energy to boot!
  3. Cut back on the junk food. Is eating those snacks worth feeling lousy and lethargic all the time? When you’re eating them, of course it is! But later, they’ll come back to bite you. So cut back and watch how quickly your energy returns.

I think that’s good for now.

Start with those 3 suggestions and your energy should improve almost immediately. Then, when you’ve got some of your vigor back, see if you can improve it even more.

The more you do, the more intoxicating it becomes.
