Have you ever wanted a tool that could help you decompress the moment you felt a surge of tension roll through you?
Perhaps it was a surge of negativity.
Perhaps it was a surge of annoyance.
Perhaps it was a surge agitation, anger, or perhaps even rage.
Whatever the case, there has to be something that can help in ‘heat of the moment’ situations, right?
The good news is that there is…
But you’ll need to have an open mind to use it.
Over the past couple months, I’ve been learning about the self-healing technique, Ho’oponopono.
It’s an ancient Hawaiian practice of self-forgiveness and reconciliation. The underlying philosophy is that one’s reality is 100% their own responsibility. There are no problems that exist in the outer world, there are only problems that exist within one’s self.
The practice is simple:
Whenever a negative emotion surfaces, repeat 4 phrases:
I love you
Please forgive me
You don’t say them out loud, you say them in your head. Better yet, you say them to whatever higher power you believe in. And you repeat them over and over and over and over again.
It’s quite simple, actually (and beautiful in its simplicity).
It’s not a practice that takes you away from your day. It’s not a practice where you have to address your emotions later on. It’s not a practice that takes very much effort from you at all.
You can use it whenever and wherever you want — and you can be using it all the time.
Of course, there’s much more to Ho’oponopono than this. But I would say this is a worthy introduction to the practice.
Repeat those phrases.
THAT’S ALL you have to do.
You’re skeptical, I know.
I was, too.
But there’s real magic in the practice that only first-hand experience can discover.
So try it out and see for yourself.
You have nothing to lose and a potential life-changing tool to gain.
And when you’re ready
