You’ve heard it before.
Heck, you might even say it from time to time.
But the truth is, the statement “it is what it is” is a total farce — and today I’m going to tell you why.
First of all, let’s get something straight…
“It is what it is” is a statement of victimhood. Period.
It means you’ve fallen victim to circumstance.
Something happens that you don’t like… things don’t go your way… the stars don’t align the way you want them to… and what do you end up saying?
It is what is is.
But that’s not true, is it?
What you should be saying — and I learned this from the great Dr. Joe. Vitale — is…
It is what I ACCEPT.
Otherwise, what you’re doing is dodging responsibility. You’re avoiding taking ownership. You’re settling for something instead of taking charge and making reality the way you want it to be.
Now, of course, something might happen that’s completely out of your control and you have to ‘accept’ it. But oftentimes, you actually have far more power than you think you do.
So the next time you say to yourself “It is what it is”…
Try saying “It is what I ACCEPT” and see how that changes your attitude towards the situation.
More often than not, you’ll realize it doesn’t have to be that way.
And when you’re ready 👇👇
