How to Guarantee Improvement With the Least Amount of Effort

Let’s assume you want more out of life.

That every day, you dream of improving your circumstances. For yourself, your family, and everyone you know and love.

So where do you start?

Where do you focus?

And how do you make sure you’re always getting better?

Man, that can be a daunting question sometimes.

I’ve been there. I’ve focused on improving every area of my life at once. I’ve also learned that’s a terrible, non-productive way of doing things.

Instead, let me tell you about another way.

A better way.

A way for you to improve, move forward and get ahead almost without even realizing it.

Here’s how it’s done:

First, I want you to choose an area of your life to improve. Just one. This is important. Some good examples are health, wealth, and relationships.

Next, I want you to brainstorm how you might go about improving that one area of your life.

For your health, that could mean eating better. It could mean exercising more. It could also mean getting more sleep or drinking more water.

Now, I want you to choose just one of those things to focus on. From our health example, that one thing might be exercising more. Got it? Great!

Finally, I want you to focus only on that one activity every day. For example, if you chose to exercise more, that could mean getting out for a quick 10-minute walk. Nothing crazy. Just some light exercise to cover your bases.

Then the next day, do it again. And then again. And then again. And then move up to 15 minutes. Then 20 minutes. Then 30 minutes.

You can see where I’m going here.

You’ll want to do this until it becomes a habit. Many people say that’s 30 days, but it’s always been longer for me. So I’d say aim for 60 days just to be safe.

Then, when you get there, you can start considering which area of your life you want to improve next.

But ONLY when you’ve established that first habit.

This is a very gradual way of doing things.

You’re not trying to throw everything at the wall to see what sticks. You’re intentionally making everything stick by taking your time to get there.

Slowly but surely, this is how you guarantee your improvement.

One foot at a time.

Little by little.

Another step forward every day.

Try it and you’ll be amazed how far those little steps can take you.
