There’s a new article style I’m working on.
I call them my “I only have so many minutes to write this while my wife is putting my daughter to sleep” articles.
I’ve written them before — but now, I’m thinking I should write them more often.
Why? Well, first of all, there’s a deadline imminent. Which I’ve gotta say… is kinda nice. I simply do not have the time to lollygag or fool around, thereby making my writing flow quicker.
The reality is…
I need to get this composed, written, and published in 15 minutes flat — or, at least, try my best to do so.
And so far, it’s working out pretty good.
You know, after writing an article every day for almost a year now, I’ve noticed something.
Some of the best articles I’ve ever written were ones where I let myself write unedited until the end. I just let the voice of my mind take over and help the words flow on the page.
It’s a liberating way to write.
To not think so much about what you’re saying or waste time wondering how all your sentences should sound.
Plus, it makes things move along faster, more easily, and at a more natural rhythm and flow.
Anyway, I’m not sure there’s a point to this.
But if you can write unedited more ofeten, I guarantee you’ll be better off because of it.
I wrote this article in 10 minutes flat.
It’s not terrible, right?
Imagine where your life could be if you could do the same.
Over and out.
And when you’re ready
