Why You Should Be More Like My Wife

be more like my wife

Earlier this month, my wife started school to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist.

To say I’m proud is an understatement — and not for all the obvious reasons, either.

Yes, I’m proud she started her program.

Yes, I’m proud to see her learning and studying and mastering her craft.

But what makes me most proud is the simple fact that this has been a 5-year dream in the making.

Back in 2015, Melissa and I moved to Edmonton, Alberta to start a new chapter of our lives. Within days, she landed a job at a health and wellness store just down the street from us.

A few months later, she was Manager.

And it was there that she fell in love with natural health and the ability to help others find a sense of vitality in their lives.

Shortly after, she decided she was going to make it her career.

Now, a lot has happened since then.

We got engaged… we had a baby… we drove across the country… we drove back…. we moved to British Columbia… we got married… we moved into a new home… we’ve generally just been kicking ass ever since.

But her dream never died. It never faded.

The passion persisted and the desire was always there.

She never gave up… she never backed down… she never put her dream on the backburner hoping ‘someday’ she’d be able to do it.

No no — she always knew she would do it.

And when she was finally ready to start, she took ACTION — and now she’s well on her way to making that dream come true.

Like I said before, to say I’m proud is an understatement.

I’m inspired… I’m infatuated… I’m in awe by this remarkable woman… I’m honored beyond belief for the privilege to stand by her side.

A lot of people talk about what they want to do with their lives. But very few ever take steps to bring those visions into reality.

My wife isn’t one of those people.

She took the leap.
She took control.
She said “Yes” to making her dreams come true.

And now she’s actually doing it.

I love her so damn much.

She’s a shining example of what everyone should do.

So be more like my wife, alright?

I promise you won’t regret it.
